The Events Team is responsible for the organization of, in particular, Project L, the Leuven student festival where all students can kick off the academic year with a bang, the gala ball, where they can enjoy a classy soirée and the Big Jump Run, where students run on bouncy castles and compete against each other to set their fastest time!
Project Leuven Festival
Project L is an event in collaboration with VTK, LBK, Psychologische kring, Ekonomika, Medica, Politika and VRG. This festival takes place in the second week of the academic year so that we can welcome all students in a spectacular way to this wonderful city. In 2023, no less than 12000 students spread over two days came to the field at Alma 3 where everyone went completely wild on Pommelien Thijs, the Bromeo’s and Pat B on the mainstage. For those who prefered bass was a techno stage present where beats were provided by artists like Yves Deruyter, Pegassi, Lolita and much more!
Galabal
Like many other unions, Industria organizes a gala every year and the Events Team is also responsible for this. As one of the few unions Leuven, we can proudly say that our gala ball takes place on our own beautiful campus. Every year, Groep T is transformed into a stylish ballroom with an original theme, where you can dance and drink all night long in your fancy dress or tailored suit.
Big Jump Run
After all the crazy parties where the leuvens gold is flowing, there is of course also a need for sports. That is why Events provides the Big Jump Run where you can cross the Oude Markt in a competition against your friends or competing student unions on a bouncy castle of up to 90 meters long!
